Honestly, it's a pointless question to ask, there's no set number. People with less HITs approved than me and a worse approval rating have gotten masters. People with more HITs and better rating have also gotten masters.

Anything you read about masters is pure speculation unless it came directly from Amazon.

 

There is a "new" way of choosing Masters now vs before. So old theories need to be re-theorized, but yes they are all speculation.

I have a feeling you're the OP that they're talking about

 

I heard that if you shake your left leg three times while rubbing your stomach with one hand and patting your head with the other, while singing, and recording it, then uploading it to turkerhub, you get instant masters.

 

This is the only thing Amazon has said about getting Masters:

 

For a lack of motivation? No problem. "Hey boss, I was doing well and then all of the sudden Chrome Crashed and now I just can't get back in to the groove". Lol
