    I think in my 32 years of existence, I don't recall ever seeing a restaurant sell any brains. I'm intrigued and kind of want to try. Organs don't seem to be too common aside from liver I suppose. My girlfriend's mom eats chicken livers, which is kind of weird - because I use them to catch catfish...

    Kinda weird, I think organs are pretty popular eating in other countries.

    you need to find places that receive whole hogs/cows/goats, they may or may not have stuff on the menu. but they may also do a lot of off the menu dishes

    Some people down south eat chitlins, which is intestines. Not me, cause yuck, but my dad used to eat them when his mom was still alive to make them for him. I've also seen canned brains at the supermarket, again, yuck:-\

    If you can find sweetbreads, that’s a close flavor but liver is a close texture.

    Brains have a Pretty tame flavor.
