I swear I don't think I will ever stop worrying about the kiddo driving . I find creative ways to text her now (to make sure she made it to school and work). Today I hear an ambulance 6 to 8 minutes after she leaves driving down the road(she is slow after her wreck 3.5 months ago so I thought oh no what if some one hit her in the rear). She texted me again to say she made it but I am sure she gets sick of doing it.

I don't think it takes them long to get sick of texting us that they made it safe! And I don't know when the worrying stops. My youngest is 20. She was driving to visit a friend this weekend who is 6 hours away. She added me on Find My Friends so I could see where she was. I told her that didn't help me if she was in a ditch somewhere... I'm now waiting for her to text me that she is heading back to school. And then I will worry till she gets back safe.

 

Nah, make sure to keep asking. It's always nice to know your parent cares no matter how old you are, but especially during the annoying teenage years.

 

I'm 31 & my mom still wants me to give her the "made it safely" text for any big trips. I don't think mom'ing ever stops

 

That's a risk I'm willing to take.

I've never had to text or call that I was safe in my life. Weeeeee.

On the other hand, I have even made Matt's mother text me that she made it home safe.

I'd probably just text you a video of me mothering baby scorpions, while telling you how I will train them to assasinate my enemies.

Do you think that's a mountain lion stalking me or just a bear running thru the woods? That dude creeped me out- no, he's not a murderer. I'll take out Mister Stabberz just in case. Do you think I can climb that rock without falling?

 

I meant in a parental sense, but yes, you're a peach.

 

I also forgot: Woops! I stabbed myself with a cactus again! and, OH SHIT! I CUT MYSELF ON MY RED BULL AND I'M BLEEDING EVERYWHERE!

I went on a brutal hike where my only injury was cutting myself when I crushed my red bull can too enthusiastically.
