    Honestly, it really really depends on prep. I've had some watery, snot like polenta in my life from people who SUCK at prepping it. My polenta tends to taste kinda creamy and a bit corn-like and I usually add in some cheese for a nice kick (cheddar, gouda, havarti, goat cheese, really whatever goes best with the meal at hand). I like to add some sour cream sometimes too as a finishing touch, it adds a nice creamy/tangy factor to it!

    That being said, I've had some just awful versions from people who kinda slop it together and make it without any care or seasoning.
