According to my fraud fighting gf, that’s something they see regularly. Basically, your email sort of has a history/reputation, so when they go to do something on eBay or other sites, their fraud filters will see your email that is associated with multiple accounts, has been around for awhile, and hasn’t been flagged by any fraud systems...there are companies that keep databases of flagged emails, device ids, etc... that provide companies with that info, and new info found by the retailers get sent back to th database to keep it up to date as possible.
