Its being painted anyway (so yes to decorative only) which is why I was just gonna be lazy & throw spackle in there since it paints ezpz.. I just didn't know if wood expanding/contracting would somehow "pop" it out somewhere down the line where I'd be the one to deal w/ that particular headache wood filler makes more sense but I only have a tiny thing of it -> see details about lazy/lowes
