Matt’s mom gave him a nice set of luggage and he uses it a ton. I think if you travel enough, it’s not such a weird gift. I think he only takes the smaller duffel and his backpack (which I got him, for the same reason his mom got him nice luggage lol) most of the time but he appreciates the bigger option (which he used when he went to Alaska and such), especially given he hates spending money on that sort of thing and that super nice set will last him a crazy long time.

 

You need to record their reaction for our enjoyment.

 

Legit my first thought also. I was all giddy thinking hell yes don't have to spend a few hundred on new luggage.

it has been discussed many times and it is complicated, mostly Dave and I joke about doing this when we are frustrated but probably would never kick him out

on one hand he does have issue (mental health and such)
on the other hand he could at least work part time and contribute but...

he is trying to get SSI and has already been denied once (it is a long shot) so he won't even try while that is a possibility and his therapist and caseworker are encouraging this course of action for him but they are not the ones supporting him meanwhile.

 

Get him a part time job. Or at least some volunteer time on him.

 

trying to get him to turk but he got half way through the set up process and stopped when I bring it up he just says can't you set it up for me and I refuse to do it for him when he can do it himself
