I mean me thinking of getting a minor in Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering has to be way less daunting than what you are doing.

That's kinda one of my rules of MTurk, I pick HITs I like and ignore (or return) ones I don't. Still make my own goals most days/weeks and sometimes even crush them... just waiting for the HIT about JRPGs and Anime in a giant batch and I'll be set :)

See I used to think so and then I met a lot of the people I will be doing research with and working with them I realized I can do it. It is going to be a lot of work but I get to venture into ideas and things that will only be theory for quite some time and get to put my name on it. It is all about the work and time you put into it. The math on the other hand is gonna be a workout.:emoji_nerd: I see no reason why adding mech/elec engineering to your degree would be a problem at all and if it interests you I say do it.

I have to take almost every math class my college offers for a transfer. From Algebra to Calculus. So I might end up certified in all of the things by the time I transfer out.

OK so I bit the bullet and just installed MTS. Is there a help thread for this somewhere - I just tried looking and didn't see anything.

Yeah I had to take Discrete Math, Real analysis, Single and Multi-Variable calc and some others but it seemed hard at first and then the more time I spent working things out and focusing on principles it just built upon itself and started to make sense. Also just ask questions it is your prefessors job to teach and help you understand and the more questions and interest you take in the subject the more likely you are to get the help you need when you need it.

Ha no worries school is always a great topic haha.

I am more annoyed about me probably finishing every other section I need for an AS, and then having a few semesters worth of math to do left over. I am paying cash for this semester, but it is a five week semester, so it won't be too bad. Unless I have to buy books that the prof of the class wrote and can only get at the campus store.

Yeah I hear ya I had to go an entire extra semester (15 weeks) for one class because it was only offered in the fall so then I added a shit ton of other stuff to go full time and finish off my history degree. So I double majored with CS and History with a minor in Math and Physics. haha.

There is always another way to get those books. Former students sellin them on Craiglist or something, or possibly buying used at the school bookstore. When I was in college there were a bunch of options and that was a lil over 10 years ago so I am sure things have evolved on this front :)

I went to school to be (of all things) a math teacher... but the scholarships ran out and shortly thereafter so did my desire...

That's funny I started out college in Ed to be a history teacher. That's why I just finished that out when I had to add classes for full time credits haha. I did meet my wife in the Ed department though.

Sometimes you can find those books. I had to buy two new. Ran me a little over $400 for both of them.
