Hi Sean;

In the short term we're going to score and qualify workers based on
the results we have so far. Moving forward we'll be doing some
experimentation to figure out the best way to qualify workers --
either two tiers of HITs, or a qualifying task, or just granting a
'baseline' qualification on request on a one-time basis which we can
update as work is completed. If you've got any suggestions on that
front I'd love to hear them if you're willing (we've got a small bonus
pool approved for that, if that's any incentive).

We had this beautiful tree with pine cones in it and scattered through out was a "bird house" and some cardinals. Cats lost their minds every year. It was a casualty of the summer flooding ..the new tree has no birds

 

lol, in submitting my research for review to the ethics committee I actually stated that there would be no confusion or trickery and one of the professors (who is known to utilize this platorm, GO USC!) said "no trickery, We are not Wharton". I thought that was great.

 

And speaking of trees.... while getting a few things last night I couldn't leave the store without it....it has begun and in a week I go all out

 

But what's going on with your change jar?

 

I, personally, really appreciate those kinds right at the start of a study. Its like a holy contract between worker & requester where the prof is like "look bro, I know you're technically smart enough to do this survey so I'm not gonna hit you with some trick question, I just need to know if you are actually a fucking vegetable right now."

And sometimes it turns out I'm a moldy potato. Its like a free caffeine level alert.

 

I'd say its his swear jar but def not big enough

 

I saw the question, stopped at it, tried to make sense of it, but for some inexplicable, lame reason my brain insisted it was a typo. I lost $12 on that HIT.
