I think the implication of what I'm saying (that that input box is materially unimportant to the research) is clear and there is luckily always room for misunderstanding a question that violates the TOS to the benefit of all parties (worker gets paid, researcher gets the data they actually came for, mturk gets their cut) versus the economically damaging option of returning a HIT for an honest mistake on the req's part
