Bethesda games crash way less on consoles. When you aren't installing 4k texture packs and adding 500 weapons and 200 armors to the game, then it can play pretty well.

Bethesda games don't crash at all when you're able to use a simple fan-made bugfix patch and simple tweaks to make the game slightly less garbage.

Fan patches don't really fix any engine bugs, they fix stuff like weapons that have the wrong categories or enemies with the wrong leveled lists.

Nah, within like the first week of Skyrim's release there was a fan-made bugfix for that one bug that wouldn't let you finish the game. There was a single audio file that didn't play and made the entire main quest unable to be finished. Fan patches fix that sort of thing.
