I have been listening to MFM since not long after inception. They are the reason I bought waterproof headphones because I used to listen to them using a waterproof speaker while swimming then I started worrying about what my neighbors were thinking if they heard it, lol. dfy

Yes, I have seen Mindhunter. And I've seen the other one...uh...Manhunt. The other FBI guy who caught the Unibomb. I listened to some podcasts where he said what was real and what was dramatized for that. Fascinating.

 

I did the qual hit maybe sometime last week so I don't remember, but weren't the turns timed? So it can only take up to a certain amount of time? Or perhaps I'm misremembering?

 

Well this would also hurt the other participant in most cases and end in a situation in which the worker is likely to just return the HIT or flag the other worker as being away from the HIT.

Which requester structured HITs like this with describing the image or drawing... Completed way too many HITs since then and not having an appropriate level of caffeine my mind/memory must be failing me.

 

They are, as leader: "You are given 6 moves and 60 seconds each turn." As follower: "You are given 15 moves and 30 seconds each turn."

 

We considered all of these timing issues, and hope that our solution will solve all of these concerns.

- Each turn has a limited amount of time, so you can't just idle forever while your partner waits for you.
- You have a limited number of turns before completing the next set (you get extra turns when you get a set), so you can't just idle going between turns, or the game will end really early.

Ideally, you will have a long, productive conversation -- so that you can complete more sets and score higher.

In the end, our pay will be some function of time and final score. If the bonus is directly correlated with the score, then the bonus will correlate with the time you spent, but you also have an incentive to act quickly and not idle.

I hope this will work out, but of course if it doesn't, we can reconsider the setup!
