I don't believe the One S will. However, we don't know the specs for their next version, Scorpio, yet. Last I saw that is slated for holiday 2017.

I buy blu rays all the time and now that I have a 4k TV I want to option to watch discs in 4k. Like, Enders Game that we watched a few weeks ago in glorious 4k. Netflix doesn't have everything I want and I don't torrent stuff.

TBH, on my particular TV at least, 4k disc doesn't look that much different than blu ray. I jumped on the 4k bandwagon too soon and my TV doesn't support HDR and they won't be updating the firmware to support it.

 

Lol you can't add HDR through firmware. My TV is the same way but I didn't buy it for the 4k it just happened to be a good 55in TV for $500 when I bought it in August. It also has roku built in so that is nice.

 

I heard there is this awesome feature called grind mode. Maybe that was a different forum

 

We have the same feature but it isn't called the same thing. Go check the toolbox out.

Maybe I'm reading this wrong but it looks like they can add support through firmware. At least on some models.

There are other sources as well talking of Samsung adding support to some of their's.

Oh well I guess they were just being dicks then to not give you a firmware upgrade.
