    I'm 10 years older than my stepson. But I don't fit the "evil stepmom" stereotype because I don't discipline him or treat him badly, I let his dad handle that. He's irritated with everyone though, so idk what his issue is. He's leaving for college in a year, maybe he'll be happier then.

    I don't know about that, but I'm pretty sure it's legal to shoot someone who comes onto your property without permission

    These things aren't comparable. That teen could say that you weren't on your property and were on the road when you said this (making it disorderly conduct) and you wouldn't really be able to do anything to refute that.

    I think you did something a little reckless and I don't think you should brag about threatening people. Even if the evidence of one person is spurious to most courts of law.
