I gotcha, but to make my reviews more on par with what avg turkers view as low it is good to know that consensus seems to be that 8 is low, when does fair start creeping in?

 

Don't forget to collect the poverty benefits if you are a single parent that makes less than $110k or something like that.

 

i believe the unwritten rule is 100$/hour is acceptable pay around here

 

It's all personal preference. Anything below 10/hr for me is low. 10~12 is fair, 13~14 good and 15+ is generous.

it's a good thing amt doesn't separate the work by state then.

and TV data shows a large % of total money reported is > 10/hour if not more.

~45% of TV money reported is > 15/hour
~65% of TV money reported is > 12/hour

anything less than 10/hour is low/underpaid for TV purposes. and even THAT is underpaid.

That makes sense. I'm a social worker, my hourly is 16.80 an hour, which in my state is a decent wage, but in cities with a 15$ mw it would hardly be worth the degree.

I agree with this thinking wholeheartedly. With the shift in increased minimum wages the pay scales we use to rank pay rates should also reflect your preference and your local area's cost of living.
