The only 'smart OS' I like is the roku TV OS. The rest of them basically just spy on you 24/7.

 

poor dude. you're already doing everything i would have recommended, besides the ginger ale mentioned already. and i guess to stay away from caffeine and dairy but i'm sure you already have done that. if it keeps up or doesn't ease up at all, it might be time to see a doctor, or at least a minute clinic to see if there's anything else going on, or to make sure he's not too dehydrated. but hydrate hydrate hydrate. hope he gets better soon. keep us posted?

 

Unless what he ate recently that caused him to throw up is the same thing he ate 3 days ago, it might not be food poisoning. Flu maybe? Go to a drug store with a pharmacist and ask them.

 

Yeah, if someone isn't keep things inside them from either end after 3 days, it's probably time to see somebody about it.

Years ago, someone who I knew had what they thought was just a normal flu. They were in their mid 20s and relatively healthy. They didn't see a doctor and passed away after being sick for 4 days. A cold is one thing, but if you can't keep fluids in or function normally, then things can go south real quick.

If you do get ginger ale you need Canada Dry to get the ginger effect, which isn't much these days. Plus diet or not pop still dehydrates you unless you water it down with ice cubes and let them melt.

3 days is over the limit for food poisoning IIRC. I think the 'official' advice is he needs to see a doctor.

I would take immodium or the generic. You're supposed to purge food poisoning but 3 days.... I'd be ready to let some orifices rest.

 

Heart failure? I heard that can easily be mistaken for a cold/the flu.

Urgent Care ASAP. It might not be food poisoning and He probably needs IV fluids and some nutrition by now. You've tried your best to avoid the expense, but now you need to get a professional involved. Good luck!

Ok so the Tech comparison survey isn't the worst thing I've done for $5.....but the mental cost was very high and on a busier day I would have said screw it. It helped me get up to $16.50 for the day, which seems to make me a high roller today?
