I think you'd need help from an adult to research the parts you need and actually put the thing together before that? I dunno, I'm not an expert on child rearing. It's been a while since I was 12 and I'm decently sure I was retarded at that age.

But nope, I had just shelled out for a decent computer for him like a little over a year before he decided it sucked for gaming.

I'll get him what he needs for school, but besides me paying for decent internet, he finances all his own gaming.

 

@tricker so it seems that most of the computer fans on the market that still have 'molex' support are through adapters included in the box lol.

I'm not sure when that happened but I've always hated molex cables so I wouldn't be sad to finally see them disappear.

Also going through that search on pcpartpicker is having a lot of results that don't seem accurate :/ the site is normally good for other shit but I guess that fans are just a mess.

 

I've got it already but if anyone hasn't played Sonic Adventure DX I would highly recommend it. I used to play it a ton on the GameCube growing up and loved raising the Chao's

 

i kept pausing my humble bundle monthly, then i'd forget to cancel it then accidentally end up with 3 more months, then pause it again, then accidentally end up with 3 more months, rinse and repeat. i finally cancelled it. and of course this month had the most mac-compatible games which almost got me to keep it, but i pulled the plug. for now. maybe. maybe. i do like giving away keys i can't/won't use.

It's kind of a sequel to Sunless Skies if you've played that one, so they play really similarly, just different setting/story/tentacle beasts.

 

Those don't even say molex. Ugh. and I'm guessing 3 pin to 4 pin adapter doesn't mean molex?

I'll find what he needs. The fan has been acting up for like months now and banging on it does usually make it stop, lol. Not like I have to rush it or anything.

Also FIVE FANS. Not like it's getting hot in there. Tho, this is the only exhaust fan.

 

I haven't even ever subbed to humble bundle but they used to have bundles with 10 great indie games ect for pay what you want and now the bundles are... meh imo

 

Also I forgot to activate the key for my copy of the lego Hobbit game and now I'm kinda sad.

Having more intake than outake is good but that might be a bit much.

 

Well okay then. Buying a cheap fan from Amazon, buying an adapter, and there we go. Problem solved. I hope.

There are plenty of ones with molex on amazon.. the search just kind of sucks.

 

Only two intake. The other two are on the mother board and graphics cards.

oh... people normally don't count the CPU heatsink fan or the GPU fans when talking about case fans. So it is actually just 3 fans and that is fairly standard.

 

Whoa. That's actually a good deal it seems. and reviews say they're quiet.
