I believe you also risk rejection in you do more than two of his studies. Instead of just putting a qual preventing retakes, its a reject. Just be VERY careful with this guy since the reject is a sure thing if he doesnt like what he sees.

Did you shoot the guy a message? I would at least reach out and try to defend your case. I remember the HIT(s), but I dont know if it ever specified that you need to spend a certain amount of time on it. Worth a shot atleast. :/

 

I did. I know these kind of people it won't work. He is trying to score free research where he can. I don't expect an overturn and I don't really need it as I am sitting really well however I sent the message because it satisfied me too.

 

I did send an email stating my case, but I doubt he'll respond after looking over the TV reviews. No worries, I'm not gonna sour over it. Just gonna have to do some batches to get over the 0.12% reject rate

Apparently, 3 minutes was adequate and it was already approved. I put him on my block list too because I wouldn't have known how long to take without the warning.

 

So question for you all. When I hit accept on a job on hit forker. (Not the O button which does once on panda) If it tells me there are no more hits left I can then click the once button on the actual mturk page to add it to panda. When I click the PANDA links off of what you guys post here that does not show up. Any ideas?

Eh. I wouldnt say thats the case since there are plenty of people who don't get rejected, however I believe that he is just extremely conservative when it comes to the results he is looking for and believes that (time spent = quality) which for some isnt the case. I've been rejected for the same reason on other requesters and its extremely frustrating since on the HITs that get rejected for too short amount of time are never the length they think it takes. I had a similar one a while back and her response was "I had multiple PhD students take this study and they were unable to replicate your time results." I guess the handful of turkers who all got rejected from this requester can read faster than a phd student and therefore the golden standard. :/

 

Exactly the same rejection note I received. I've contacted him explaining my answers (i.e. giving even more information for free now) and detailing what I remember from the paragraphs. No response. Yes I'm salty, in part because I understand (from personal experience) what they're trying to accomplish and I genuinely wanted to give them good feedback (even above the standard level of care we all take on this work).
