-I don't know how you could possibly spend the estimated 40+ minutes on the hit. I intentionally went slow and I still completed it well under that time. This coupled with a message from the requester that states "We know that some MTurkers just want to solve HITs in the shortest time possible, and they don't really put much thought into questions. If you are one of them, please skip this HIT." makes me feel like this is rejection bait.

Yeah, that's pretty much how I felt; I could have completed it in roughly 1/2 the time, but was already anxious about getting bounced for completing it too quickly. Hopefully getting the answers right is a point in the plus column.
