    Got my kid's computer fan replaced! Yay! Thanks to all of you who told me I could do this myself that it was easy. It wasn't so bad!

    Special thanks to @Randomacts for talking me through 3-pin/4-pin/molex and for even finding the link to the fans I ended up buying! You didn't make this old lady feel like an ijit for not knowing all of this stuff. I really appreciate the time you spent helping!

    Now, let's hope this solves the noise problem and there aren't two issues. I know the fan was going out as I could *see* it not spinning correctly. However, I did hear a noise after I installed this one and when I went to move the computer to see wtf was wrong NOW, I realize I hadn't screwed in the glass side snugly so I did that and the noise stopped. I pray that was the cause!
