01/09 - Winterized Wednesday!

This is the only trend that really bugs me. I just think it invites all the 12 year old trolls in and ruins games. Rift is a prime example, I loved that game until they just totally screwed themselves over. I like paying a sub for mmo's because it's gates a lot of the troublemakers lol. But things come and go. I don't get too ragey about any of it.

It comes out this summer.

This can happen but steam needs to be fixed first it is a dumpster fire.

 

If that's something you're looking for I'd look into private servers if you'd rather not wait until this summer. Just be careful where you play because a lot of private servers try to monetize with P2W structures. Not that they should get money to keep their servers running, some just do it in a poor fashion.

It just shows that Blizzard as a company has overall lost the creative vision they once had. I think with most of the seniors departing the company the young blood now present is more focused on going where the money is - which of course is natural as company. I just think they're making a lot of missteps all at once.

What's wrong with Steam?

Ummmm i'm not sure that's true lol. I mean they are hawking a stolen product so i'm not sure they deserve any money for doing it. I don't a poot about the morality of it but if they want to do it they should foot the bill.

 

I mean maybe nothing to some but for me if I want to discover something new I have to sift through hundreds of crap hentai puzzle games and cash grab trophy hunting games daily to find anything good.

 

There is a certain irony about talking about 4k graphics on a 720p stream.

 

You can prevent those from showing up in your discovery queue and it is based on your playing history so steam knows that you want those games anyways

Sure it's not their product but most pservers have additional hand-crafted custom content, and game servers aren't free or even relatively cheap to operate. They have to have staff to handle player issues, GMs, mods, etc etc. Most honest pservers just take donations which I think is fair since they're delivering an experience that up until recently Blizz had no interest in delivering.
