    When Porgy was a baby, he wiggled a lot and fell out of my hands, right onto his little noggin. The vet told me he was fine, but I'm still convinced I possibly made him a little stupid.

    I was talking to a friend of my wife a few months ago and we were just joking around. I said "I don't believe in keeping my kid locked up! That's why he's free range and can graze wherever he pleases!"

    I could see the wheels turning as she tried to make sure it was a joke.

    The kiddo and I both completely remember when he finally grew tall enough that the freezer door didn't clear his head.

    He remembers the crack of it hitting his skull very clearly.

    My mom left the door open when my sister was a baby, in one of those bouncy things on wheels...when they lived in a second floor apartment, and my sister hurled herself right down a flight of steps.

    We always assure her she's totally normal, even after cracking her melon open.

    She's fine! She's fine!

    When I was a toddler, my parents sat my infant sister on a table while she was in her car seat. I was curious so I pulled the car seat over so I could see her, causing her to fall on the floor. She must have hit her head because she is definitely stupid as a result.
