    Right? I don't let my kid watch something because I "assume" what the content is. And all my kids have been able to handle different content at different ages. There are R rated films I have allowed Elle to watch, but I know she can't handle Watership Down. A Dog's Purpose devastated her, but she has watched Schindlers List to learn something. And some lightweight horror films. She personally can't handle anything happening to animals since our dog was put down and we had him before she was born. Parents need to do their due diligence, you can read parent ratings and reviews on IMDB before diving in.

    This happens from time to time and it will happen again in a never-ending circle of sadness. The only advice I can give is to ignore it and move on. Getting yelled at about TV is basically like hitting turking puberty.... most of us are fairly polite.
