01/11 - Frigid Friday!

In high school the dish we had to learn to make in that class that teaches you basic life skills or whatever was spaghetti. It was terrible. We don't talk about it. That might be why, though.

 

In home ec during middle school, ours was baked ziti, but they had us make a basic tomato sauce so I felt fancy- my dad claimed how much he loved it so I proceeded to make it for every single birthday, Father’s Day, etc for easily a decade until he told me that while mine is good and all, he just hates baked ziti in general (which, is a terrible opinion but oh well) and had only been eating it for so long because I enjoyed making it for him so much.

Anyway, made him a crab fennel soup for his next birthday and he’s never eaten ziti again!
