I'm fairly tempted to, to be honest. Just because some people on mturk and will outright lie about meeting the criteria because the requester was dumb enough to put it in the description instead of using a screen doesn't mean I've literally been lying about what color my skin is this entire time. I'm about to call the ACLU up in here or something.

 

Send a pic of your hand holding a paper with your worker id. Requester can't really argue with that

 

So they're saying you took the screener more than once and you didn't, right? Did you write them yet to yell at them for making shit up to reject you?

There was no screener, it was 25 cents, it paid $4/hr and it had writing in it. I'm mad.

I like the other idea better.

@cereal-bar you posted the HIT with a 2 hr timer instead of 24

 

We noticed a lot of people were holding out on their HITs for a long time and then didn't have partners, so we thought this may help (at least for now) make sure everyone has a partner -- we will very soon release a bunch of assignments at once, and can definitely consider increasing it (because that will mean over the 12hr that the HIT is available, more people will be available).

This might just be a temporary thing for this HIT -- we just needed to test one last thing (unless bugs appear) until many assignments are released!

Edit; we ended up with only like 80% of HITs complete in the last few batches because after like 8hr only one person was ever online at a time

what's their IRB or whatever it's called? don't they fix problems that come up with surveys?

They gave no actual IRB information, but the survey was hosted on the University of Michigan qualtrics page.

 

I made the comment that my head was hurting...my kid said maybe Tom is poisoning you. Tom said "That would be some slow acting poison that would have to build up over a long period of time"
