Hey guys, I just got a requester to respond to me after 10 days after I emailed his lab's professor (funny how that works). But instead of reversing the rejection (which I said was what really mattered), he just sent me a bonus equal to the HIT pay. I'm wondering, is there any point in responding? I get the impression that a lot of requesters can't* figure out how to reverse rejections, but is it really that hard?

@lefty and @Buntastic can tell you I'm the first to chirp things like, "abs are made in the kitchen!"

But, there's a difference between using something as an excuse for all around poor diet ("I did 20 minutes of yoga, pizza time!") and treating yourself from time to time because I will go crazy if I only ever eat shredded chicken and carrots. I track my macros and you can bet I include that pizza and I'm still in a nice little deficit. Could I just eat more steamed cauliflower and lean meat and beans? Sure. But, post hiking meals are satisfying AF , and you can damn well bet I will treat myself to whatever the heckum I want when I have pushed myself to the point of exhaustion-often past it. I work out 6 days a week most weeks- and I'm eating very structured and planned out meals the rest of the time- and I worked hard for my damn slice (or 3) of pizza. Life would kind suck if I never ate another pizza cause it's not healthy food, but better to have a satisfying meal after a crap ton of mileage with weight on my back then just eating pizza cause it's fucking tuesday.

So yeah, I hike my little tush off and eat my pizza without feeling guilty, cause I conquered that mountain like Imma conquer that slice of za, thank youuuu.

I wasn't talking specifically about your eating pizza, you can eat whatever. I'm talking more about a place called Planet Fitness giving people pizza as a "reward" for doing exercise. It's not the type of message that you would want to get from a gym that's supposedly all about getting people healthy.
