First non-beta cereal game we got 13. Not bad.

 

The cereal game is great when you have a good leader or follower, however if the other party is horrible it's a waste of time.

I got 7 the last game so it may have been either of you.

I don't see a way to make the hourly good on these even with good teamwork, but they're definitely kind of fun if things are going well.

 

Are you guys putting your name or Turker ID in the name area for the Steven Wiideman website hit?

 

I agree, even with a good partner the hourly is really not good. The beta pay rate was worthwhile, but this is rough. 7 sets is only going to get you 1.70 I believe with the new structure, and I'm sure it wasn't that fast.

 

The beta was definitely paid better. This time around it took something like 15 minutes maybe and the final payment should be .10 + 3.80 bonus for the 13 my partner and I scored. So that's like what, 15 an hour? Not the greatest. It should really pay you the higher bonus amount per point for every single point.

Edit: this is also assuming that 13 is a fairly good score, not an average score which of course means the pay is going to be even less on average.

 

Can't remember whether or not I was near a lake, but I was the follower and my leader would instruct me to "wait here." I hadn't encountered that before and thought it was clever.

Yeah, I was a little disappointed with the new compensation plan. Maybe okay night/weekend hourly, but they definitely won't be a priority during regular work hours.

 

I didn't review it because I feel like it's too variable, but my last game with 7 was $1.7 and it took 13:56 so $7.32/hr. Not going to go ham on them, but I had a good time.

 

wasn't the hourly planned to be ~ 15/hour? esp for what appears to look like a high performer.

You could maybe pull 15 an hour with a really good partner with both of you on point and no misunderstandings, but that's going to be extremely rare.

 

And as with anything people will get more efficient at it if they do it a lot. This was my third game I think. I let my leader turns go almost full time so I could make good plans for later.

 

It's fun for a Sunday but I agree, I won't have time during the week while going ham on regular batches since it requires full attention and planning.

Hi all, we adjusted the pay scheme because we were done with beta (a lot of beta was people dealing with bugs and giving us technical help), and also because it should be much easier/faster to score points.

- We'll discuss among ourselves about increasing the pay per point after this batch based on how this one goes, it's possible that our calculation for this was too low, so we will definitely review it.
- We will also de-qualify people who have low partner ratings after this batch, so hopefully any "bad" partners won't be in the pool anymore.

 

Are you going to be opening up any more qual spots?

 

Yes we will -- we need to decide/confirm how many more quals to release though. Hopefully we can do that tomorrow morning!
