    Well once again life puts things into perspective for me. Just got off the phone with a tenant. She and her husband were leaving a hospital in San Francisco where she had just been approved to be put on the list for a new kidney (her's don't work so well, to say the least). On the way to the car, her husband collapses in the parking lot. Got immediate emergency care (hospital parking lot with a great ER) and they did all they could for a few days, but this weekend they let him go. Massive stroke, and most of his brain was affected.

    Now she's without her husband and should soon (we hope) be getting a kidney transplant. Her youngest son is at the same school as my son. I offered to get him home from school for her in the afternoons once he's back. I can't do much else, but maybe I can help there especially when she has her surgery if that happens soon.

    Today I am grateful for my good health and my working kidneys. I've been wiping tears since I hung up with her. She has brought me bags of clothes for my son (her sons are all older and she has TONS of hand me downs) and even cleaned out her attic and brought my kid some really nice yarn for his scarf making.

    Yeah, I've seen some post say it's takes a while to get paid, but definitely get that info before Appen deletes it from its history though.

    Just had an amazingly cathartic experience. Driving around, come to a school zone and slow to 20 because you know... decency. Get a huge truck right up my trumpet, the kind of tail riding where you can’t even see thier headlights. So naturally I drop it right on down to 10.

    The best part was that I just so happened to be eating a turkey sandwich at the time. I cannot properly express the feeling of putting along at 10 with someone inconsolably angry behind you while you ever so causally eat a sandwich
