Yes, but often once a school goes through a major screw up on MTurk they set standard procedures in place so that they don't continue to repeat. Some even have entire classes on how to use MTurk/crowdsourcing to gather data. Some even advocate doing it responsibly. Not that those things 100% prevent problems, but they do help.

Stanford just continues to set new records for "what are you doing & why"

I got mine rejected for 'hasn't marked enough objects/relations' Even though it wont let you advance without enough being marked.

 

They would probably reject that for not having enough leaves marked
