Probably is survival instincts. While my dog at one point was very pampered and taken care of (can tell by her vet records), she was found at least two times living on the streets eating trash. She's kinda tiny, the size of a larger cat, so I'm sure she had to fight hard for food and hoard it if she could.

We are her fifth family that I could trace on her chips (she has two, long story). I can see why so many didn't keep her, but still...I adopted her, I'm keeping her even if she is a pita half of the time. (We've had her for 8 years now, so she's with us until she dies!)

 

Good, not just me then. I know I'm average pace...but I didn't think I'd be THAT much slower than average...
