I know this is a super weird question, and may sound ridiculous, but did you by chance treat it like a survey? Because it wasn't actually a survey
It was a paraphrasing HIT in which they asked you to write about how you would ask certain questions. For example

"If your shoes fit too tight, how would you describe this to a friend?"
- the answer would be something like - "my shoe is too tight and my foot feels cramped"
- the wrong answer would be "I would carefully bring up to my friend that my shoe is tight"
