Totally disagree. His look plainer and less flavorful. I would pick yours in a pretzel stand over the ones above ANY day.

 

Oh it is totally confusing for those of use who learned it the old way.
I specifically volunteered once a week in my kid's math class so I had a hope in hell of understanding this new way. Otherwise I was completely lost! Once the teacher explained it, though, wow did it make sense!

However, now that kiddo is in some Pre-AP fancy ass math that is done the old fashioned way I'm back to saying, "Nope, can't help you with that. But I can drive you to school 20 mins early tomorrow so you can go ask your teacher for help!" lol.

I think a lot of us hate common core because we cannot help our kids and it doesn't make sense to us because we don't get it explained to us. For, me, I have not been able to once he got past basic Algebra, so I'm so used to that it doesn't bother me, lol.

I came back inside from the garden three hours ago because I felt a raindrop and thought the raining was starting.

Then the sun came back out. So I went outside again and a few minutes later, another raindrop. Came back inside. Still no rain.

Came back inside, took out trash, felt another drop.

IT'S STILL NOT RAINING.

I think birds are peeing on me when I walk outside.
