I volunteer my 15 year old daughter . She's so not mechanically inclined, but I asked her if she could fix the door handle/lock on my Ford Fusion and she was super excited, did a great job in 15 minutes, and most importantly didn't charge me $100 or whatever it was the dealer wanted.

On an unrelated note, I drover her and some friends to the high school dance last night. Good heavens, who are the parents who are letting some of these girls out of the house in those hooker fashion slightly too short mini-dresses?

 

it's disappointing because i love language-related tasks, and sometimes i can do underpaid if it's something i enjoy. but i can't, in good faith, do underpaid work and give data that i'm not sure is 100% what the req is looking for.

i originally thought it was to pick out the ones that are obviously not natural sounding, like "rotating an object around her hips" or whatever, and the flat out gibberish ones. luckily, i didn't do any until i read the discussions here, but even after adjusting how i approach them, some are flat out impossible. i think i've done maybe 3 that i cherrypicked thinking they were obvious (which of course makes it that much more underpaid), and i'm waiting for the revoke.

 

Spoiler: reviewing a qual, the worst crime a TVer can commit. Send in the army.

 

Agreed I got my qual back, but I don't want to do a bunch more until I get some feedback. I know it's not for everyone, but I really dug that converting code into pseudo code qual earlier. I really hope they post a big batch of those at reasonable pay.
