I feel like we are all better off as a community if we help each other out. I'm definitely about paying my bills, so when I see a good batch, I go straight to hamming... but after its over I see nothing wrong with letting others know if I've worked on something good.

The only reason I'm able to pay bills of this shit is because there were people nice enough to put me on to good hits back when I thought 6.00 an hour was good pay.

i tend to agree with you. however, i have found that the overall helpfulness of people has declined in the roughly 3.5 years since i started turking. this obviously is a blanket observation that will be disputed by anecdotal evidence

I already returned the HIT but from what I saw it didn't remove the person from the return reviews and if I tried to ignore again it would say something like "this user is already on your ignored list, refreshing local cache" or something similar. I'll test on the next hit I get and pm you

Problem with this logic is that the next time the batch drops everyone knows about it now and you make nothing.

That moment your husband passes gas when you're trying to record, then you get tickled cause he's giggling like a 12 year old boy and you can't spit out "ok cooktop tower" having to try 3 different times.

 

I thought people liked my cooooookingggggg.

 

I think a lot of the instances where people could be helpful are gone now. Tools are just too advanced, you don't need someone to sit on a forum and answer the same question 800 times/day anymore.

People don't notice it, but the # of "how do I do X" or "what does Y do" questions are basically non-existent nowadays compared to 2 years ago because tools are much better at answering those questions before they are even asked/come to mind in a newbies head. As it should be.
