    Like grass?

That my dog eats on the daily.

Fortunately she urps that back up while still in the yard.

(I think I read somewhere that is good for them, though?...)

You can't expect me keep every tissue, napkin, muffin wrapper, hair, grass, garbage that blows in the yard, and whatever else they decide is food that moment from getting eaten.

My sister once went on a weekend trip and left her dog with our mom and she gave her dog a fucking double cheeseburger because supposedly she didn't have any food.

There is literally nothing worse you can do for a dog who only eats dog food, than to give it a shit ton of human food. Our dog has a stomach that can digest massive pieces of bones that he shouldnt be having, yet puke his brains out on the only clean spots of carpet that we have left after eating grass.

One thing. My dog does one thing that is normal for dogs. YAAAASSSSSSSS (and isn't totally gross, like eating cat poop)

Since we have green grass year round here, I regularly see her heaving in the yard. I won't let her near the door if I see her hunched over doing the dry heaves thing. I have seen what eventually comes out.

(ok, wait, that's kind of gross...maybe I take back the one thing thing)

My brother was the worst about feeding his boxer human food. He lived 14 spoiled years though. My brother would actually cook pork roast, and all kinds of food for that crazy lovable goof ball. That was his kid. Mugsy (the dog) was so spoiled, when you put the food in his bowl, you had to feed him by hand for the very first bite and only then would he eat the rest of his food from the bowl :emoji_sweat_smile:

It's different if you're feeding them an actually balanced doggy diet comprised of not very processed ingredients. There's plenty of recipes out there if you want to make your own dog food, and it's (usually) healthier for them, too. Buying dry food is just more convenient.

I bought some new treats that were on sale last week and my oldest dog threw some up today. I gave him two this morning and he puked them up. It's always a guessing game, especially with the old guy. Titan and Ginger never puke much or just do it outside and I never see it. My little poofy thing is usually pretty good, but she she throws up bile every once in a while.

I've always had dogs with food allergies. Current cattle dog is allergic to peanuts  which rules out lots of dog food and treats. The great dane needs low protein/low fat to prevent bloat, and my old man beagle needs soft/wet/pallatable. The result? I have three different foods that I mix and combine in different quantities for each dog, and each dog has their own treats. Ironically enough, the dehydrated fancy human-grade food seems to last the longest, and the beagle was more excited about the Gentle Giants food (originally intended for the Dane) than he had been about any food, ever. :ai: They're happy, I'm happy, and my pet-sitters think I'm crazy.
