Hey everyone! Has anyone done the NLPCL $20 hits? I did a few 4 days ago and i havent been paid yet. I also had someone tell me they were rejected too.

I have done theirs but neither has been approved yet. This is the email I received after emailing them regarding the first pending hit. I didn't want to risk two high paying rejections.


we will ask you about revising before the rejection (IF we consider that it is severely insufficient)
and as we are getting hundreds of the results,
it is currently automatically screening the results,
and we majorly screen the results based on (1) diversity of the reasons annotated, and (2) randomness of the values selected.
but, I want to assure you, as a requester, i have replied and handled all the mistaken rejections,
and replied all the emails with proper communication (even there were some delayed replies..)

please don't worry much,
and please do not be offended even in the case that automatic screener somehow rejected your HIT
(I hope not but sometimes it happens).
in that case, if you send me email, i will re-approve it manually after my manual checking
(in the case there is no severe insufficiency in the result).

No rejections that I've seen, just a lot of tears lol. I remember seeing someone review it & say it was god awful.. but $20 is $20 haha.

Should be fine though, some HITs can take a while to approve & a long one like that probably needs a good bit of time to review for the requester (or whatever poor grad student / intern is doing it)

When I first started with mturk and had no scripts, I previewed a HIT from the worker site, and I saw that I could complete the survey without accepting the HIT. I thought this was really smart because if I got screened out, I wouldn't need to return the HIT. Of course, when I clicked "Accept" it was no longer available. I remember being so surprised...

I return to you all, hero of my block, wrangler of loose dogs! He was headed towards the main road but YE! FROM HER OFFICE, LE WILD BIRD APPEARED TO WRANGLE THE POOCH!

So, made friends with like 5 neighbors at once and found out A) my neighborhood is a dumping ground for unwanted cats because apart from us, theres just miles of desert and my neighbors have a conspiracy theory, that they claim is fact but is for sure not, that the county is dumping feral cats to feed the coyotes ( it's as as possible) B) my crazy cat lady neighbor FOR SURE is in love with Matt. She told me how he's such a "handsome young man," and asked if I was his wife or not and then tells me A LOT of his daily schedule and how she used to ride motorcyles too and she just loves how he treats all his bikes! She seems very harmless to me, albeit a bit of a Matt peeper, and I'm like 97% sure she won't murder me to wear my skin and seduce Matt one day.

 

My cat just ran full speed, did a terrific jump, landed on a pillow, rode the pillow across the living room floor, and then leaped onto his cat tree. - All in one motion. It was incredible, but not recorded - and therefore only impressive to me. But I shall post.

 

My dog ran outside to chase a cat, came back inside and tried to wipe his poopy butt on the floor because he's a dick.

We had a stray come to us and she had puppies. We found them homes, one that is two houses down for one of the pups. Now, my dog won't SHUT UP barking because her brother is loose. Good times.

 

So you did keep that gorgeous shedbeast, right? He(?) can't be having a very good time roaming the desert with that coat.

 

New, lower minimum daily goal met.

Now, I can turk tonight if I feel like it and not if I don't.

Man, it feels good to lower my goal again, and to have bonuses be...well...bonuses. (Because they don't count in my daily, unless it's one of those weird hits where the bonus IS the hit compensation.)
