Without fail, there are always pan handlers outside my local grocery store. I have a pretty solid Yankee rbf and I stomp pretty aggressively, but there’s always some idiot brave enough to put themselves right in my path and not move out of my way.

Okay, I can explain this; I have a degree in physics.

Recall that the original hypothesis was Schrodinger’s cat. Recall also that cats can be said to demonstrate the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. That is, the cat is awake and dashing around and top speed, so you know precisely where it is (based on the pounding of little cat paws) but not the speed it’s moving at (“ballistic” is not a precise measurement); or, the cat is asleep and you don’t know where it is, but you know precisely the speed it’s moving at (=resembles dead).

This, in fact, does match up to the detector, cat in a box, and poison gas thought experiment. Now, we know that Einstein was also a great one for engaging in thought experiments. We also know that the special theory of relativity explains how objects move in a frame of reference relative to the observer, hence the twin paradox.

This leads inevitably to the flat earth and hollow earth reality. How, you may ask? I’m getting to that.

The earth was originally a tiny little ball of molten rock, but started expanding rapidly. In fact, it expanded at close to the speed of light. This meant that, as the expansion rate approached the speed of light, the mass increased proportionately, in line with the special theory of relativity. The detector from Schrodinger’s experiment was present on a parallel world, but seeing this expansion in a frame of reference relative to itself.

Because it could therefore not detect exactly how fast the earth was expanding, it automatically invoked Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle. That is, it knew exactly how fast all the cats on the planet were moving, but not where they were. The detector thereby released all the poison gas which, due to the rapid expansion, heated rapidly and exploded, causing a blizzard of neutrons which acted to create the critical mass of self-sustaining reaction resulting in the fission of all the heavy atoms in the world. This was the first nuclear reaction, and all the cats ran and hid from it. They found the middle of the planet and took up residence inside the hollow earth. Yes, the earth is hollow, and all the cats in the world start their lives in that sphere.

The real key, of course, is the offshoots from the nuclear reaction which included significant quantities of gold. Cats being cats, the Uncertainty Principle ALSO tells us that an equal number of cats were present on the surface of the earth, which was simultaneously flat AND hollow. The cats on the surface of the earth did what cats do, and knocked everything off the edge. This was primarily the aforementioned quantities of gold.

It is therefore true that every time someone mentions Schrodinger’s cat, a detector in the middle of the hollow earth employs voice recognition technologies to detect this, and is triggered to see if it is in the particle/wave phase of EITHER a flat earth OR a hollow earth. Once the phenomenon has been observed, a HIT can be created, with the time to complete/reward statistics being exactly matched by the Uncertainty Principle. IN FACT, a turker DOES NOT KNOW if the reward is good, poor, excellent, or terrible UNTIL another turker has performed the HIT and observed the outcome.

It may be hypothesized that the faster the turker does the HIT, the younger he or she becomes due to the pheromones released by the excitement of an exceptionally rewarding task. This, then, gives us the famed twin paradox.
