Fingers crossed for you!
I was on them for about a year but I didn't find them to be very effective besides the albuterol when I had a flare. Whatever the issue was mostly went away when I switched medicines and became more active. Where I live is one of the worst places in the country for respiratory problems so it's no surprise I had issues at least temporarily.

For whatever reason, flovent did like 0 for me but symbicort was a whole new world! They were super worried I was gonna have a recurrence of ards for about 5 years or so? I would have occasional episodes of sudden and basically unexplained low function and I'd have to sit there on the cpap or whatever and then it would go back to normal function but I've been slowly better the last couple years. I'm hopeful I may get to wean off the inhalers entirely at some point! I was the only person who didn't have asthma in my family up until ards and then my lungs just decided they were part time workers LOL. I'm glad yours is going away! Having issues breathing is such total bs and I hate that anyone has to deal with that <3
