The only thing I want to give her right now is a punch in the throat. Not saying I will, but I want to.

 

I'm only 2 years older, and there's literally no excuse to be that financially irresponsible -- especially with a co-signer! Except pure ignorance and/or inconsideration. Just... arghhh!! lol I'm angry on your behalf

 

My brother is almost as bad... My dad has been paying his loans for almost a year but at least he isn't hiding it. On the other hand my dad is keeping a tally of all that money and will send my brother a bill once he gets a proper job that can actually afford to pay for stuff ect.

 

25 is also way too young to be tossing your parent's goodwill aside just like that. When she's struggling along the way somewhere down the line, who's going to bail her out now?

Her mother still pays her phone, insurance and she has a degree in Theater. Theater of all things and she can't find a good job doing that. She went to school in New York and she will never pay it off. She has no other marketable skills. SHE LIVES IN KENTUCKY. Sorry, but there's not a lot of Broadway shows being done here.

I don't think she's thought her life through.

 

I'll never understand people who still live off their parents after adulthood... My husband's brother is literally 40 and still living in his mother's basement and relying on her to pay his truck payments and cell bill. Like... WHAT.. HOW.. WHY???

 

Some people struggle to get their shit together. Some people have parents who are literal doormats and will never turn down their kid. Some people are just plain entitled.

 

Nope. Her mother is the theater director for all the schools in our county. They grew up in the theater. AT SCHOOL. Waaaay different when you're trying to feed and clothe yourself. Just because you were the best actress in Owensboro, KY doesn't mean all that much.

 

That's the thing... his mother will never ever say no. Even though she struggles to pay her bills every month. I don't know how I could live with myself relying on a parent who is struggling themself.

 

If I could have seen her today when I found out, I don't know what I would have done. I was so angry I was crying and I don't cry.

 

If MTurk is still around in 25 years or so, I'd at least make my kid(s) do that

 

So if she went to school in NY, why wasn't she looking to hire on at places in NY after graduation? I don't get it. If you can't make it in the theater in Kentucky, better try to get use out of your degree elsewhere.

Yeah, same. Usually it's the other way around for me because my dad doesn't charge rent for my room, so I don't mind. If you're still living with your parents (which is totally understandable okay guys) you can at least foot part of the bills.

 

Yeah I don't understand why @ChrisTurk makes his wife live with him in his parent's house either.
