02/18 - Montage Monday

Oh, that thing where you put something on the bottom of the shopping cart that is made to put large bags like dog food? I wonder how many people do that, and accidently on purpose don't put it up on the counter for the checker to scan and walk out with free whatever.

 

It was in the cart, but I was gonna put it on the checkout belt and the guy suddenly told me not to! The protein powder was a little travel pack, so it was super tiny and slid under the cat litter. The checkout boy came and scanned the cat litter in the cart and I had NO DAMN IDEA that anything was stuck under it.

 

I always hate it when grocery stores have different layouts, confuses the hell out of me. I especially hate Walmart for continuously moving their products around, so annoying.

 

Taco kits, refried beans, tortillas, and taco seasoning are all in different places in this one, no less! He was wandering around, totally helpless. He tried tho, it's very endearing

 

You got yourself a good man there.

 

One of the good things about the grocery stores in Indiana, unless it's steak, salad, or corn flakes they you're likely to find it in the ethnic food aisle. Taco stuff, yep. Spaghetti sauce, yep. Rice, yep. Ramen noodles, yep.

 

In GA/SC, they usually had taco stuff all confined to its own little area, so he could just walk to that exact little setup and be good to go. Here, not so much! To his credit, he learned to make the one meal I will ALWAYS eat and he's better at making perfectly even layers than I am (engineer brain lol).

In the spirit of taco bake night, I had 2 shots of tequila just now (given to me for christmas eyyyyy).

Yeahhh, he's pretty alright He's not even a bad cook, he's pretty good at it between his mom owning a restaurant for a long time and his ability to perfectly follow instructions- he just hates it and isn't accustomed to it so it's his nightmare

 

That sounds fun. Wish I had some tequila about now. I'm just cherry picking tasks as it is. *opens a HIT, checks expected time, more than 3 mins, returns*

Getting ready to transfer hubby to cardiac icu, at another facility. I think I will be working all nigh tonight. I haven't pulled nightshift in a while. This might be interesting.
