I seem to be oddly off putting to ticks, cause we once came back from a camping trip this year and literally everyone picked up one except me. Long Island is tick central and I was super terrified of them because everyone got one at some point, but for whatever reason, me? nope! I'm sure my day will come, and it will be terrible. Are you me?! Before I moved down to Florida years back, I had never been bitten by a single mosquito (or if I did, I never noticed it). In one week, my entire lower back and thighs were covered in hunnnnnnnndreds of bites. My in-laws kept saying shit like "why don't you swat at em when they land on you, dummy?!" Well, I legit can't feel when mosquitoes land on me until they've already bitten me! Ever since that summer, back in Washington now, I have almost an allergic-size reaction to any bites.
