Nah it is one of the most popular mobile browsers right now mostly because it has built in ad blocking without a fuss. They are planning on doing other stuff with BAT ect but I don't think that anyone actually cares about that. Or at least most users that use the app don't care.

The plan is to pay you in BAT when you browser. But again most people prob don't give a shit about that and just like it to block ads without a fuss plus other privacy shit.

 

Brave browser has been around for several years, just not really well known. At one point when they were very new they had a reward system in place. You would get paid a small amount for using it. I've used it on my phone for a while and had the desktop version for a short amount of time. It's a pretty decent browser.
