Pros:
The hourly is pretty good even without any optimizing. This is across about a dozen HITs so I could probably push it a little higher.

Could probably add another $4-5/hr with a script EASILY.

Times require reading over a lot of poorly formatted text very quickly, this is not really a 'relaxed' pace type of task if you want to make it worthwhile.

HITs are sitting behind a qual test, which no one does, so it's a free batch of 300 HITs ($36) just sitting around on MTurk because no one looks.

Cons:
The interface is absolutely horrid. Never ending accordion bubbles based on previous answers.

Bad HITs drag your overall average down, good ones help boost it up. I think this is a pretty fair representation of the work overall. I had some quick 1 button submits and some that went the full mile and I had to read the entire article to answer the last question on.

i meant that i couldn't accept the HITs as they appeared, and that when I tried to accept them manually it gave me the 'specified qualifications' error

tried accepting a HIT from each account again through pc, and they all went purple

 

Dumb workers do not do qual tests, because they can't figure out how to find them, it's fine.

Plus its a study by a lab, half the time rejection threats are BS anyway
