good morning!

 

I sit in a full back faux leather chair wrapped up in a large black robe to combat the cold. I also have a scarf near by that can act as both a scarf and blanket! Get a large fluffy bathrobe!

My cast iron reversible griddle/grill that goes over two of my burners sits on top of my stove all the time. One, it hides the mess under it, lol. Two, it's heavy af and I'm tired of hefting it up every time I want to griddle something.

My other cast iron does go into the cupboard. Well, except the small one that I fry eggs in (Over hard y'all! I added some cumin to my cayenne pepper this morning! Still can't lick my lips...) stays on top, too.

Mine are all oiled the eff up, too. (Funny story: my brother asked me why his cast iron always looks rusty and mottled and mine looks great...found out he scrubs his with soap every time he uses it...I nearly passed out and lectured him on proper cast iron care...)

 

@tricker It's super basic, but I like it that way because it is strong since I do hang quite a few cast irons from it, as well as my other pans.



I'm seasoning 4 of them right now, and they're 12-14 inch, so they are the heavy ones. And yes. Look at my apron. lmao

Totes jelly. I don't have wall space for one. The only space in my kitchen that isn't a window or cupboards is right behind the table, and I don't want people banging into them, lol. I have decorative plates hung up there.

And I wear aprons often, too! My grandma always did and always made me wear them when I cooked with her so I got used to them.

Though, I don't have one out right now. WTF is wrong with me? Just realized I haven't been wearing one lately, lol.
