OMG, the dog waking me up so early has me keyboard face planting again today.

And the dog must have a problem. She peed on the carpet despite having been outside only a couple of hours prior. She wasn't even AWAKE when I last saw her, I left the room for about 10 mins, came back into room...pee spot. That's how I knew she had woken up. So she never even asked to go out.

Probably means another vet bill is coming.

I'm going to die young and poor thanks to my animals.

 

Skeeter has anxiety about asking. He will stand silently at the door and hope you wake up. Skeeter and I are 3am pee buddies

Dessa does the same thing, she won't bark to go OUT, but she'll bark like a crazy dog to come back IN.

But she didn't even ask with her eyes. Usually she can go max 8 hours without an accident. This is weird, and the second time in the last two weeks she's peed when someone has been home and awake to let her outside but she did not ask.

I threw her outside for the day when I left for work. If she can't be outside due to weather, she's in her crate from now on and when I'm home I'm throwing her outside every couple of hours whether she likes it or not.

 

Thankfully Sasha is pretty good about waiting until the morning so if she wakes me up in the middle of the night I absolutely know it's an emergency. The one and only time I didn't and woke up to diarrhea evvverywhere omg bleh.

How old is she?

 

This reminds me. The kid is home with her now. I should call and tell him to throw her outside for a little bit, lol.

When Rodimus had one he had the hardest time holding it and had a few accidents until we got him all fixed up even if he was outside for the majority of the day.
Invest in some Nature's Miracle and hose that carpet down!

She's old. Somewhere between 13-14 years old. I'm guessing from when she was fixed and the age they guessed for her on that paperwork.

We have only had her for the last 8 years.

Reusable baby diapers work WONDERS in soaking it back out of the carpet, lol!

And I'll clean it this weekend or next with a carpet cleaner. She pees in the same general area so it's only a small portion I have to clean.

She could have a UTI, or she could just be being a Grinch. She peed on the carpet a lot a couple of times before when she was upset about something or when I forget to let her out, but almost NEVER when someone is home and awake and nearby. I'll watch it for another week or so and see if it happens again.

Sigh. Vet bill. Just paid one for one of the cats last week. It's not the visit that is expensive, it's the damn medications.
