I can't donate blood. I was WRONGFULLY diagnosed with Hep C when I was pregnant with my first child. They seriously thought I must have sat around the kitchen table everyday saying pass the needle. I've never done drugs in my life. They must have gotten my blood tests mixed with someone else. I for real thought I had Hep until I had my son. I told the nurses when I was admitted that I had Hep C. They tested my blood again and NO. I didn't. Nothing, my blood was clean and I've been tested several times since. But the one time I tried to donate blood they asked if I had ever been diagnosed with aids, hepatitis, etc. I said yes but they were wrong. They wouldn't let me donate. I guess I should have just said no, but I didn't want to lie.

 

I personally don't give anything from my body to any other person. It's the one I've got. I also have yet to receive anything from another yet. When that day comes I might further rethink my stance and how I feel about it. But currently my body is 100% mine and I feel I'd like to keep it that way? idk

YES. It caused a lot of problems. I was stressed all the time, I was afraid to make dinner cause I was afraid to use a knife for fear of cutting myself, it cause problems with my now ex husband cause I didn't want to give it to him, so intimacy was off the table. (He was tested as well and miraculously didn't have it) I was scared to death my son would have it. It was a rough 9 months.
