If I wasn't so addicted to all the great artisan soaps/aftershaves coming out right now, I'd consider a beard. The single ladies a appreciate a man that doesn't smell like Axe or Old Spice too, so I don't mind shaving about 6 days a week. Plus, lots of the scents are seasonal. The one I wore a lot this winter was black tea and vanilla. So fucking good. Now the warm weather stuff is coming out and I'm gonna be rockin' some citrus stuff or maybe a little lavender. I just ordered a scent that is supposed to smell like the beach. Hope it is my new goto.

My grandpa wore that barbershop smell and I tried a soap of that stuff. No bueno. It made me feel like an old man. My dad always wore cheap shit from the drug store, so I couldn't stand any of that either. Green liquid out of a bottle will not get you laid.

 

I got Matt some John Varvatos cologne that I liked, and he has worn it ever since. It's probably been like 4 years of him wearing the same scent (I've replaced the bottle), but I like it and he doesn't hate it and actually wears it, so it's a win! It smells super good, so I'm pretty happy I got him into the habit.

I'm kinda like that with cologne. I like Creed's Green Irish Tweed and stick with it. I bought a set of shave soap and aftershave that is model after the scent, so it doesn't clash. Most the time a couple extra drops of aftershave is enough to replace cologne though.
