03/21 - Thousand Thursday!

Anxiety? Diet deficiency?

 

Mine was 24, but it was about The Good Place, so it could've been a hour long and I wouldn't have cared.

 

Some dogs do it a lot, some don't. My oldest dog is laying under my desk right now licking his blanket. He does it all the time. The other three never really do it.

 

Maybe anxiety, but we are RIGHT HERE with her, she's not alone, lol.

And she eats everything she can get her paws and mouth on, so she should have a good diet...

I tell myself she's old and will die sooner than later and I'm going to miss all her quirks but...I dunno. She leaves fluid all over the place, lol!

 

Some dogs lick things when they're bored. If I let my dog, he will lick a hole through my skin all day because that's just what he does.

Does he lick other things?

My dog goes under my kid's bed and licks all the things stored there. It's odd.

And was really freaky the first time she was under there licking something and I had no clue wtf that sound was coming from under his bed and like fuck no I was looking under there to investigate a weird noise.

They make sprays that stop it.. apple & I think a more pepperspray kinda thing? Works for mom lol

Dogs lick it once, decide "that tastes like ass" & stop.

Though given where your dog is licking... YMMV

 

Bitter apple spray did not work on my dog.

I'd have to spray my sheets, lol. My couch. All the places I sit and sleep and lie.

Guess I'm just going to be rolling around in dog spit for the next few years.

 

Trust the man (woman, I really don't know) not the numbers.

 

The reason he has blankets in the spots he likes to lay around, is that he licks. If it wasn't the blankets he'd be licking the carpet. He licks his legs until the hair gets napped and I have to cut it off. He used to lick the couch too, but I don't really let them on the furniture anymore. He sometimes licks the blanket I have on the end of my bed where he lays at night. Basically, he just likes to lick stuff.
