Friend of mine got a job with some independent company - that all they do is deliver packages for amazon. He's getting 18 an hour plus benefits - my state has a 8.2five min wage. They provide the vehicle, they provide the gas, they provide the phone.

 

It isn't awful in some areas but here in Sacramento is is obviously just solo people being fucking clueless.

One of my buddies did this same gig for a while and enjoyed it until he got a security guard job. Lucky guy just plays video games and watches the CCTVs all night.

 

just doesn't seem worth doing flex when you could get a w2 job doing the same thing with your expenses paid.

One of the tricks to making money on this platform too is being aware of whats going on, find patterns to stuff. For example learn times that certain requesters always drop stuff. Joe Lo is a great example. Dude drops stuff M-F at the exact same time. I set a panda for him right before drop. turking is so much like the stock market, so many patterns and ups and downs. Pay attention, write stuff down. Turk and learn. The more effort you put into it, the more money you make. An experienced turker is likely going to make 30 bucks in the same time you make 7. A month later, you're making 11 in the same amount of time you made that 7. The first few months of turking are a Grinch. When you get to the point of being able to do it full time it can be pretty sweet.

 

You can email them. They messed with my Male/Female qual once. I didn't change a thing, I just had the wrong qual and retaking the qual test wouldn't fix it (I had the right qual to start with). After a few emails they fixed it.

 

Prob because you can just sign up to do flex vs having to interview for the proper company.
