i haven't been to one in way, way too long. i used to go to hockey games pretty much nonstop between having season tickets to the chicago wolves and hawks tickets being super cheap, but it's been impossible to go to the nhl games since the hawks started winning. i miss the days i could walk up to the ticket window minutes before puck drop and get a $10 ticket just to see the other team.

i was trying to think back to the last nhl game i was at, and i'm pretty sure it was game 4 of the hawks-canucks series in 2011 when the hawks were about to get swept but ended up murdering them that game then went on to push it to 7. and i was only able to get tickets because they were about to get swept and i wanted to see lu and the sedins in person. and i'm kind of having an existential crisis that i haven't been to an nhl game in 8 years? it feels wrong. i have no idea where the last 8 years went.

lol, yep you caught me, i'm the little-known brunette italian sedin they don't talk about.

tbh it was mainly for lu because i'm a goalie fan first and foremost, but i have much respect for those freaks of nature.

 

The only team close to me a Junior AA squad. They are crazy good, should probably be a Junior A team. I've gotten $5 tickets a bunch of times and I go to about 5 games a year, but it's not the same. Next closest is the Tucson AHL squad at about a 5 hour drive. Yotes about 6 1/2 hours. At that point I might as well just drive the 9 hours to Denver. Dallas is the same distance. I'm just so far away from everything.

If I get a new job when my contract is up, I'm moving somewhere with at least an AHL team. @leafs4_cup you got an extra room? Wait nevermind, I want to be able to afford to go to more than one game a year.

 

That may seem green if you have been using a lot of scripts, but trust me if you haven't been using any scripts at all 27,000 s NOT green.(just ask my poor little old broken finger tips!) LOL

 

They fixed the podcast HIT, too bad it expired an hour ago.

 

I feel like I lost a few intelligence points reading that garbage. What a waste of my time. lol

I took a risk by submitting the HIT anyway with my ID and that earlier message and then messaged him and asked if he could fix it and I could still do it. He got back to me and I am doing it now and replying back with the completion code.

that's such a bummer, i don't blame you, i absolutely recommend moving closer to hockey. what's your junior aa team?

minors/juniors are so much fun though, it's so rewarding to see players grow, especially go on to the show. i was lucky that atlanta was such trash and drafted career ahlers and gave the wolves freedom to do what they want, so they were always a great team. the lockout year was something else, but also seeing guys like rinne when they were just coming up was so much fun, and always felt like you knew you were seeing something special before they were household names. as well as seeing guys who were dogshit become better with proper management and coaching (coburn, ugh).

and i have to brag every time it comes up, so i'm sure i've posted it before, but the wolves were also huge on community and fan interaction, and players were encouraged to be friends with fans. lehtonen gave me a used stick on his own freewill just because he knew i'd appreciate it and he was on the cusp of going up and wanted to say goodbye properly.

Late to the party but omg this is hysterical.

 

Totally made weekly goal yesterday and exceeded it. Haven't turked at all today due to going to the movies and then some yardwork (my hands smell like rosemary no matter how often I wash them to get the sticky off...)

Trying to decide if I want to turk to beef up monthly a little more or if I just want to take the full day off.

And maybe crochet, or crochet some bird nests!!
